Born on 23rd September 1950 in Kędzierzyn-Koźle.

In 1977 graduated from the Medical Faculty of the Silesian Medical Academy in Katowice. In 1985 obtained specialization in gynaecology and obstetrics from the Post-Graduate Medical Training Centre in Warsaw, and in 1990 - specialization in healthcare organization. In 1986 obtained the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences from the Medical Academy in Poznań.

In 1977 was intern at the Healthcare Complex in Kędzierzyn-Koźle. In 1978 began work as assistant at the Healthcare Complex in Nysa. Since 1991 - director of the healthcare Complex in Nysa and, since 1997, head of its gynaecology and obstetrics department. Since 2001 teaches at the State Higher Vocational School - Institute of Nursing and Medical Rescue in Nysa.

Between 1994 and 1998 was member of Nysa City Council. From 1998 to 2002 - speaker of Opolskie Provincial Parliament, in 2006-2007 - deputy to the provincial parliament.

In 1999-2000 was chairman of Stal Nysa Volleyball Club, which participated in men's major league playoffs. Member of the Association of Healthcare Managers and the Polish Gynaecological Society. For three consecutive terms was chairman of the regional board of the Polish Red Cross Society. Recipient of several trade awards and distinctions.

Member of the Solidarity Trade Union.

Member of the Law and Justice political party.

Married, has one child.
